Chrystani’s Non-Traditional Wedding Gown in Compton, CA

Chrystani was a super awesome first time wedding dress shopper who visited our Long Beach bridal salon. She worked with Tamiko to fulfill her vision for a non-traditional wedding gown. She was interested in a mermaid wedding dress, something with funky prints, sheer panels, body baring and with colors. She wanted a unique wedding dress for her fall 2017 affair. And she looked incredible in her ultimate choice, a fitted sparkly gown with ruffle skirt from Allure Bridals.

We loved her bridal gown! It featured a strapless sweetheart bodice with vertical beading and lace appliques. The skirt had lightweight layers of tulle with double horsehair trim. She ordered her gown in ivory and light gold, so we definitely checked the box on mermaid, color and unique!

Chrystani wrote, ” I still can’t believe the variety of plus size wedding dresses that were actually cute and unique. Thank you for taking the time and investment on plus size women. I got married October 21, 2017, to Robert Bias and we had Cuban night themed wedding at a local farm in Compton, CA.  We incorporated African American traditions, and organic decor to create a moody evening. The dress was definitely the star of the show.”

Chrystani’s unique headpiece really caught our eye! She said she purchased the sunburst crown on Etsy. We loved how it really fit her wedding theme! She told us that she and Robert included African traditions, such as jumping the broom, and she sent us a photo of that, too!

Congratulations to the newlyweds! We love the photos and how they really give that moody feel to their event. Best wishes for a wonderful, long life together!
