Vanessa and Lupe were married on September 27, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas. Vanessa knew she wanted a ballgown with lots of sparkle and a natural waist. She told us that she traveled 700 miles to our Phoenix, AZ bridal store because she wasn’t having any luck finding her dream dress in her small home town. We’re so glad she made the trip! After talking to her about her previous unsuccessful shopping trips, Angel found her a stunning Allure lace and tulle ballgown with silver embroidery. It was exactly what Vanessa wanted! The waist has a crystal, beaded accent that worked well with Vanessa’s tiara and jewelry, and she chose a simple, two tier veil with a satin ribbon edge.
Vanessa had 5 bridesmaids who wore short, pink chiffon, which went perfectly with her soft makeup and blush colored flowers. Their photographer was Angela Rios Deshone.
We love the UGG boots under her wedding dress. We bet she was comfortable all night long!
Their venue, The Legacy Convention Center, has a rich history. It was originally The First Presbyterian Church and was purchased by the YWCA in 2006. The YWCA completely renovated the building with the idea that they would preserve the architecture and social character that is so important to Lubbock and to provide a beautiful setting for special events, performances, meetings, and training. Choosing The Legacy Event Center gave Vanessa and Lupe a gorgeous setting for their wedding while giving back to their community. The YWCA’s motto is “Eliminating Racism. Empowering Women.” We love that! We hope you and Lupe have a wonderful marriage!
Congrats to Vanessa and Lupe. Vanessa was a beautiful bride on her big day!
