Like a lot of curvy girls, I didn't consider a ball gown when looking for a wedding dress. I thought the material would make me look bigger than I am. Now, of course, my views are much different: I know that ball gown wedding dresses can accentuate curves in an amazing way. Strut got a new shipment of dresses a week or so ago and I uncovered this gem:
This wedding dress is Allure ball gown #2222. This gown features a slight sweetheart neckline, a dropped waist bodice (see how it goes just over my hips? that's a dropped waist) with ruching, and a very full skirt.
I felt like an absolute princess in this wedding dress, and that's not even my style! So Laura (you can see her hiding a bit in the photo) and I decided this dress is great for an elegant princess look. It has subtle beading just at the top of the bodice and the bottom of the skirt. It has fullness that, in my case, provides a nice contrast to my large chest (good proportions!). The ruching even covers my lumps and bumps. Check out the side view:
We have this dress in a size 26, and it's the last of it's kind; we can't reorder it. So, ladies, if you're having an elegant evening reception, this is a great wedding dress to consider!
