“I have been with my husband since I was 12 and we actually got married 12 years later on the anniversary of when we met. So I truly never expected to have nerves, but seeing him made everything better”
“We got married in Three Rivers, CA right outside of Sequoia National Park. Our venue is called the White Horse Inn. It is an outdoor venue. My husband proposed in Sequoia on top of Moro Rock on our ten year anniversary. Three Rivers is the last town before you enter the park. After leaving the park, we realized that we wanted to get a memento to commemorate the moment so we stopped at a local store to pick out a magnet. The clerk asked us what we were looking for and we explained how we had just got engaged and she suggested that we check out a local venue. We had only been engaged for 3 hours and we thought it would be crazy to look at a venue.
We ended up staying in Three Rivers for the night and before we left the next day we randomly decided to check out the venue. As soon as we walked onto the property we instantly fell in love. There was an abundance of greenery, water features, and scenic beauty. The venue was simply breathtaking. After we left, we couldn’t stop thinking about the venue. We even looked at other places closer to home but nothing compared to this venue. We had to pull the trigger and get married there.”
“My husband and I are Disney nerds so we incorporated Disney into our theme. Our official theme was “The Enchanted Forest.” We had a sprinkle of romance, whimsical, and Disney. Mixing the three made our night magical.”
“My all time favorite moment was seeing my husband for the first time as I walked down the aisle. I wasn’t nervous until it was my turn to walk down the aisle. Once I heard my music (Beauty and the Beast), I had so many butterflies that I didn’t expect to have. But once saw him as I walked down the aisle, my butterflies immediately flew away. Once I saw him, I focused on him and I was at ease. I cried like a baby because I saw my world staring back at me and it was easily the happiest moment of my entire life.”
“The funniest part of our day was that it was 109 degrees and humid in the mountains. We were nervous about it being too cold on 09/05/2020 but nope it was extremely hot. Our guests, family, and bridal party were sweating like crazy and yet everyone had a smile on their face. I have never experienced heat like that in my entire life but I wouldn’t change it for the world. The heat was absolutely ridiculous but everyone still managed to have a great time! It was definitely a wedding to remember!”
“I went to my appointment at Strut and it was the best decision of my life. My consultant was Winifred and she was great. She listened to me and picked out dresses that she thought I would love. I wanted something similar to a mermaid but I didn’t want all of the weight to be at my knees. I wanted straps to hold me in. I also wanted lots of lace and sparkle. I LOVE sparkle! Winifred chose the most perfect dresses. Weirdly enough, I saved the dress that I ultimately chose to be the last one I tried on. In my head, I thought this is going to be the one. I had never seen a “sheath” dress so something about it just spoke to me. Once I tried it on I knew it was mine. I was waiting for the “ah-Ha” crying moment and I got it. I cried like a baby and my bridal party and mom couldn’t stop crying either.“
“Winifred then told me that it was a brand new dress and no one had ever tried it on or bought it. I was the first one and she said that she would name it after me. I was in shock and cried some more. I’m super emotional if you haven’t caught on yet. It was such a great moment!
I loved my shopping experience with Strut. There was nothing that I would change about the shopping experience. I felt like I was with family when I worked with Winifred and the other consultants. We had the whole shop to ourselves and it was perfect.”
