Andrea came in to our Long Beach bridal store all the way from Utah back in August of 2015. She chose a beautifull lace and tulle ballgown by Allure in ivory. Andrea and Jake were married at St . Mark Cathedral Church in Salt Lake city Utah on rainy day on May 21, 2016. She says, “The morning showers brought a pleasant temperature to our desert climate and brought with it good luck.”The day started of with Andrea getting hair and make up done at Malstrom Salon and Jake getting groomed at Ray’s Barber Shop, and then Andrea had to sneak in to the church to get dressed and of course she couldn’t let Jake see her.“My something old was a necklace my maternal grandmother received from my great-great-grandmother, my something blue was the sapphire in the necklace. Jake bought me beautiful earrings for my something new. I wore my Matron of Honors hair piece from her wedding for my something borrowed. My dad placed a lucky six-pence in my shoe right before walking me down the aisle. It was the perfect combination with my stunning dress!”Jake’s sister was his Best Woman, and Andrea’s bridal party wore an illusion top gown in a beautiful lilac dress. By the looks of the mustache photo below, they seem to have a pretty good sense of humor! Her flowers consisted of greens, yellows and lilac colors for her and her Bridesmaids. All the flowers for her wedding were done by Clarence Bynum, who Andrea described as the person to give them their own secret garden.Andrea says she and Jake prayed for the day that they could celebrate their big day with their loved ones to witness and she also says the ceremony clearly represented the love that they have for each other. They danced their first dance to “Day by Day” by Doris Day.Something special Andrea wanted to recreate for Jake was wash his feet during their reception because he proposed to her while he was washing her feet. She was also able to have her first slice of pizza for the first time in a year, her Mom made her wear a bib so she didn’t get pizza sauce on her gorgeous dress. Jake enjoyed his groom’s ice cream cake.
She says they shared brief moments with family and in a blink of an eye the day was over. Their grand exit consisted of bells ringing and lavender being tossed. Instead of leaving in limo or classic car, they were whisked away in a local bike taxi.
