We are so honored to feature our gorgeous Strut bride, Anneke, and her husband Evan! They held their wedding at the Ole Hanson Beach Club in San Clemente, California. With the ocean just steps away and the sun setting behind them, their wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love surrounded by their close friends and family. Their oceanside California wedding was full of meaning, laughter, and unforgettable moments!
When it came to wedding dress shopping, Anneke wasn’t entirely sure what she was looking for at first. “I tried on a few dresses, but nothing was really speaking to me,” she said. “Tamiko picked out a different dress for me to try, and I absolutely fell in love! It felt light as air, and it was so flowy and pretty. It even fit me perfectly, and I was able to walk out of the shop with it the same day. It was meant to be!” Her aline wedding dress had flowy chiffon layers, flutter sleeves, and a stunning lace bodice that added just the right amount of detail.
Anneke and Evan chose the Ole Hanson Beach Club as their venue for its breathtaking views and landscape. “We got married at the Ole Hanson Beach Club in San Clemente. Everything was outdoors, except for the dance floor, which was indoors. We liked that it was right on the water and that there was space for the ceremony and the reception. That place has great vibes!” Their floral arrangements brought in blush, cream, and soft greenery, creating a romantic and timeless setting that blended beautifully with the coastal backdrop.
When asked about her favorite part of the day, Anneke shared, “My favorite moment was during the reception. 500 Miles by the Proclaimers came on, and a conga line started! Everyone was singing along, having the best time, and it was so fun.” The joy and excitement from their oceanside California wedding day come through in every photo.
Anneke had this to say to other brides still planning their big day: “Make your wedding your own! Some things that are priorities to other brides might not be priorities to you, and that’s okay! Have fun with the process. Make a list and try to focus on one thing per week. It’s a big job, and just take it one thing at a time.”
