Sarah B. came in Tuesday with her mom, Barbara. They had driven up from Tucson to do some dress shopping. But, actually, Sarah has traveled much farther for this wedding planning session; she came all the way from Uganda.
Yes, Uganda. We had a good laugh–she certainly is my first bride from Uganda! Here’s the scoop:
Sarah and Jon were living in Atlanta when, two years ago, Sarah got a job offer from Water for People. I looked them up online. They were founded in 1991 (that’s a long time in non-profit world) and work to bring fresh water… well, their website puts it better:
Water For People helps people in developing countries improve quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs.

Water for People is new to Strut, and we really loved Sarah, so we thought we’d do our small part and spread the news. How can we help, you ask? Just look for the big orange DONATE button on their website. They also have volunteer programs (ha! Ann has been looking for a reason to head back to Peru!)–it’s the perfect reason to renew your passport.
