Carrie and Matt were married at The Venue at the Grove in Phoenix, AZ on October 10, 2014. Both their ceremony and reception were outdoors, so Carrie wanted something that would be lightweight and comfortable for her setting. Carrie said her venue was absolutely gorgeous and that everyone was great, especially Taylor, who helped them the most. Carrie wore a stunning and romantic champagne organza trumpet wedding gown from Allure Bridals.
Carrie told us she had a bad experience somewhere else and that she was so glad she came to see us. When we asked her what advice she would give other brides, she told us that the biggest thing brides should know is to come to Strut before they have awful experiences like she did. “Weddings should be fun and finding a dress should be the most magical experience. Having a place to go with employees that truly listen to what you want makes such a difference and you’ll feel like a princess, like every bride should.” In fact, Carrie not only felt like a princess, she said her three year old niece, Asha, kept wanting to dance with “Princess Carrie” all night. Carrie and Matt chose plum, grey, dusty blue and navy as their colors. The flowers, which were done by Sandy at Y-Knot, complemented her fitted organza champagne gown.
Live, Love, Snap captured the wedding perfectly. Carrie has known Candace Valek and Dawn Stanley forever which helped make her feel even better for her big day. We love how relaxed and beautiful she looks! And the pictures were so good, it was hard to pick which ones to use!
Another fun fact about Carrie and Matt’s wedding? He asked her out FOUR times before she said yes! We’re so glad he was persistent and that she finally said yes! We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
