We are super excited to be introducing Christy, who is featured here today in her beautiful, lace, aline silhouette with a plunging neckline, and detailed with beaded appliques for her romantic winery wedding.
Christy found her dream wedding dress at our Tempe, Arizona bridal location in the Spring of 2019 with her mom. Read on to hear all the dreamy details of her romantic vineyard wedding in Chelan, Washington.
“Being a plus size girl, I knew that dress shopping would not be a typical experience. I didn’t want to go to a store and have to “imagine” how a dress would look like on me with a sample size that didn’t fit. My parents live half of the year in Peoria, AZ. I stumbled upon Strut via Google and was so excited to find a place where I could truly feel like a bride when dress shopping. I tried on about 10 different dresses. All of them were so beautiful. When I put on my dress, I knew immediately that it was the one. It was so flattering, the pattern was romantic and beautiful, and it made me feel so beautiful and feminine.”

2020 was the year of uncertainty. With so many wedding unknowns, the June 2020 wedding that Christy and her fiance Ryan were originally planning for, soon became the biggest unknown of their lives due to Covid pushing back their wedding an entire year! They * finally * got to tie the knot on June 26th 2021.
Christy wrote to us, “My favorite moment of the day was seeing Ryan for the first time. We had waited 3 years to get married and had to postpone due to the pandemic in 2020. Finally seeing him all dressed up was an amazing feeling.” She also added, “Another moment was seeing my bouquet for the first time. It was everything I envisioned and brought me to tears seeing all the colors and florals together that I’ve been dreaming about. “
Christy and Ryan were able to make the three long years of waiting so worth it. Their intimate, vineyard style wedding came together so seamlessly.
One of the things we love about this vineyard style wedding is the sense of comfort and intimacy it provides. “We got married in Chelan, WA at Karma Winery. Chelan is one of my favorite places in the whole world. It’s a local wine and lake destination in WA. The venue is stunning. A jaw dropping panoramic where the ceremony was, dinner among the grapevines, and dancing in the wine cave. “
Christy also wrote “Our theme was a romantic winery wedding. I wanted everything to feel intimate and like a gathering with our closest friends and family.”
