While shopping and eventually altering her boho wedding dress, Strut Bride, Emily, was one of our lucky clients who got to visit and experience both Strut locations.
“I purchased my dress in Long Beach, CA, but had it altered in Arizona.” She said, “Once I got engaged my mom and sister were on top of all the bridal store appointments. My mom scheduled my appointment at the Long Beach location with Tamiko for July 10, 2021. Almost a year out from the wedding.”
Emily’s mom had set up one of our special Deluxe Wedding Dress Shopping Appointments for her daughter. This 2-hour champagne bridal appointment is set up for the bride and 5 of their guests to enjoy snacks, a full charcuterie board, and a bottle of champagne while the bride shops for her bridal gown. It takes a bit of stress away from the bride while she shops and makes the whole wedding dress shopping experience even more special. For brides such as Emily, that extra time and relaxed atmosphere was exactly what she needed.
“Like most brides, I knew exactly what I wanted as well as what I didn’t,” she said, “I tried on so many different options, but none of them felt right! I broke down in tears at one point because I was just so overwhelmed. I was done and ready to give up when Tamiko suggested that we try on just one more dress. The second I turned around in the dressing room the tears started. I walked out and started crying more! The dress made me feel feminine and beautiful. I could see myself on my wedding day in that dress. It all became real!”
Emily said yes to a desert champagne and ivory floor-length, V-neck Aline wedding dress with sequin lace around the bodice and along the hem.
“My favorite part of the dress…the TRAIN!” Emily told us and yes, that the train is a statement piece. The long train features an illusion design, making the design stand out from anything else.
The bridal gown arrived in our Long Beach, California bridal shop and as soon as she picked it up, Emily was on her way to Arizona to start the alterations process. Our team at our Chandler, Arizona bridal shop helped her through those final steps and before she knew it, it was time for Emily to get married.
Emily and her fiancé, Tyler, were married on July 16th, 2022, in Flagstaff, Arizona in front of an intimate gathering of 83 of their closest friends and family.
“Our wedding was very boho from the macrame to the hoop bridesmaid bouquets,” she told us about her venue and the overall vibe of the big day, “We were looking for an outdoor wedding venue that felt intimate! We had toured a couple of different places and once we walked into Aldea in the Woods it just felt like home. Tyler and I met in Flagstaff, so why not bring the story full circle and start our next chapter there? The staff that work at Aldea are AMAZING and make the entire experience so easy! We were able to have our dream wedding … people traveled from all over as well as just days after having their first child to join us in the celebration. My favorite part of the day was getting to marry my best friend and FINALLY be his wife!”
“Our wedding didn’t start until 5 pm, so this gave me a lot of time to get ready and relax before the ceremony.” She went on, “The morning of the wedding my dad and I went and got coffee with our matching shirts on! I also got to eat a full breakfast as well as be surrounded by my family. I appreciated that the whole day felt very relaxed and not rushed. I wasn’t a very stressed-out planner, so I was hoping that it wasn’t a stressful day.”
From the looks of her photos and the smiles on everyone’s faces, it truly was the stress-free and romantic bohemian wedding Emily had planned for.
