Emily came to Strut Bridal Salon after finding our booth at an Arizona Bridal Expo just before Covid started in 2020. “I was so scared to look for a dress after I had such a horrible time at David’s Bridal,” she wrote us, “… I absolutely loved everything about you guys.” Emily wore a unique, vintage-feel ballgown wedding dress for her special day.
Her family wasn’t local for her initial wedding dress shopping experience, but her stylist Brooke as well as the whole team at Strut Bridal Salon, then in Tempe, Arizona, made her wedding dress experience so enjoyable and memorable. “I am so grateful for the care and the kindness from every single person I have met there.” She said, “I didn’t have my family in town while finding the dress, but it felt like family every time I walked in the door.”
Emily fell in love with a tank strap ballgown wedding dress with a unique, feathered lace design throughout. Once she added a tulle, pencil edge veil, the look was absolutely perfect! “(Brooke) knew with the first dress she pulled exactly what I wanted.” Emily said, “I felt like I belonged in that dress. It had a vintage feel while also giving me Harry Potter vibes. And it just felt like me.”
Emily and her best friend, Daniel, were wed at The Salt Lake Masonic Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, a venue very close to her heart. “My grandparents and parents were both involved with the Freemasons and the other relating organization, so I spent my childhood in those halls.” She wrote us, “I took naps on the couches and played in the rooms. But it is my favorite building in the world.” Their wedding took place on February 22, 2022, at 2 PM; their ‘I do’s were spoken right at 2: 22 PM! The perfect synchronization to their perfect day.
From the tacos to the Wacky Wavy Arm Inflatable Tube People (yes, you read that right), Emily and Daniel planned all of the special moments that made their wedding day utterly and uniquely theirs. We here at Strut were so lucky to be part of their journey. “I have never felt comfortable in any dress store I’ve ever been in.” Emily emailed us, “But I have seen more kindness here than anywhere I’ve ever been. You guys do this right. And it really made the whole planning so much easier knowing my dress was in good hands.”
