Jill and Ray were married October 18, 2014 in a ceremony on the beach in Long Beach, CA, followed by a reception at the Belmont Shores Chalet. She shopped our Long Beach bridal store and was looking for a not so traditional wedding dress that was perhaps a bit vintage inspired for her 1950s/rockabilly theme. This is our favorite photo, which shows her bridesmaids in tea length cherry print bridesmaids dresses with cute red petticoats peeking out! So sassy!
Jill wore a dropped waist wedding gown with corset boning and ruched tulle bodice by Eden Bridals (available only in our Long Beach store). There were beaded lace appliques throughout the bodice and aline skirt. Jill customized her wedding dress by adding a lace up corset back and changing the neckline to a bit more of a sweetheart. Jill was a bridesmaid NINE TIMES before it was her big day (well deserved, we think, after all of those times as a bridesmaid!).
She finished her look with an ivory birdcage veil with curls in her hair. We love her large, statement bouquet of red and ivory flowers, which was hand tied with an ivory ribbon. Her photos are by Onnie Hull, Lacey Forshey, friends, and family. They also took amazing engagment photos at Ruby’s Diner–she showed us the pics and they were so cute!
After their amazing Long Beach wedding, Jill and Ray spent ten wonderful days in Hawaii on their honeymoon. We’re so jealous of their trip but hope they enjoyed their time away as husband and wife. Jill is also a local business owner and knows the importance of supporting local businesses, we say THANK YOU for supporting Strut Bridal Salon, and best wishes to you and Ray!
