We love it when a bride knows what she wants and just goes for it! In this case, Strut Bride Jodie wanted a simple, light a-line or ballgown wedding dress to wear for her August 2, 2012 wedding in Oregon. To go with her dress, she was wearing an awesome birdcage veil and fascinator that her aunt made. We love it paired with pearls!
Jodie, a local PhD candidate in Anthropology and Religion (studying Druids!), and Ryan got married in an English garden. Jodie chose a satin ballgown wedding dress with a little surprise–it had POCKETS! Here is her sassy pocket shot:
The gown featured a modified sweetheart neckline with lightly ruched bodice. On the side there was a small flower, but Jodie replaced it with a sparkly bridal belt. Her groom sported the 1920’s style with suspenders and a hat.
Their wedding had peacock colors, but mostly purple and aqua.
We’re so happy for you both and hope we get to keep you in Arizona after your studies are done. Thanks to Jodie for referring another Strut Bride, Jessie, to us. Jessie will be married in 2013, and we can’t wait to show you her photos, too!
Congrats to you both from your friends at Strut!

It was so much fun getting to take part in the happy wedding. Every one enjoyed all the venues we went to in the park for your celebration, what joy and fun. How beautiful you looked Jodie and Mr. Vann so Dapper in his attar. The wedding party so beautiful dressed. Dancing on the grass, bare footed. The Buffet of gourmet food, so yummy. Thanks to both of you for making such a memory for ever. Love, your Auntie from Seal Beach, Ca.

This was the most amazing wedding I have ever been to, and I have been to many weddings. This couple made each guest feel special. The venue was beautiful, the food extraordinary. The wedding was truly a reflection of the two of them (not a canned wedding.)Both the bride and groom were beautiful and they chose their comfortable attire to fit their unique personalities. OK I am the mother of the groom, but what I said was true ask anyone that was there.
