Joni came to our once a year wedding dress sample sale last July in our Phoenix bridal store. But we soon found out she was more of an offbeat bride, so Jill steered her toward some less traditional wedding dresses. In fact, she wore a dark blue tea length tulle gown for her December 2013 nuptials to Fred, and she tried on just one dress!
Joni wrote us and said:
I am really enjoying married life! I have been meaning to send you guys some pictures especially since Jill actually understood our Dr. Who theme!! When I said I was looking for a short Tardis blue dress I was floored that she knew what I meant and helped me find the perfect dress for my wedding!!!My photographer was my friend Nicole Santos of Santos Photography! I am sending you a few of my favorite shots!I want to thank you again for making me feel comfortable while looking for the perfect dress. I only had to try on one dress because Jill really listened and found the right one right away which made me very happy! Some ladies love to spend lots of time trying on gowns, but that isn't me and getting in and out in 45 mins was FANTASTIC!Thanks again,Joni
I made the headpiece, shoes, and Cloquet(I made a working clock for the bouquet) myself….They were all ideas and designs I just thought up and worked on until I felt they were right.Along with our Dr. Who theme we used the 4 elements from Avatar: The Last AirBender. Water, Air, Fire, and Earth. Our rings are both actually designed after the 4 elements and I don't know if I sent a picture of it, but my son made the arch we were married under that had the elements carved into it. Everything was a compilation of things we like and feel brought us together.Fred's suit was actually ordered from Magnoli Clothiers. They are the ones who made that suit for the 10th Doctor in the show! We really thought that was awesome!
