Kristin came in shopping to our Long Beach, California bridal store by herself after having gone to a chain bridal store. She was having an intimate wedding with a roaring 20’s flair. She said she loved beading, lace, and a vintage look. She worked with Winifred to find the perfect vintage-inspired beaded sheath wedding dress!
When she shopped last November with Winifred, they tried on some good wedding dress options. Then Winifred put on Kristin “the million dollar dress”. As soon as she saw herself in it, that was it!
We call this vintage-inspired beaded sheath wedding dress “the million dollar dress” because it has over 100,000 beads added by hand. This stunning wedding gown looks like it would cost $1M, and it makes brides feel like a million bucks, but it costs well under $3,000! While it’s strapless with a sweetheart neckline, Kristin added a fully beaded long sleeve illusion topper that we sell in our Strut bridal stores. It matched her bridal gown perfectly!
She wrote: ” I knew going into the appointment at Strut that I would find something I loved. After being very disappointed by the sizing and selection at a large bridal chain (David’s Bridal) I felt confident and excited for this appointment. I was not disappointed! I initially chose come dresses, tried on a few, but each one had something I didn’t like or something I wanted to cut out completely (and literally!) I went back to the rack and came upon the most sparkly dress in the shop. I remember telling Yulina, that this one was me and I remember her saying it’s beautiful but no one really buys that dress. That made me more excited, I always try to buy things that are different from the masses and this had my name all over it! I told her I’m that person and I knew this was my dress. When I cam out with it on and saw it in the mirror I choked up, it was everything I wanted – vintage, sweetheart neckline, beading and jewels from head to toe, form fitting and with a short but beautiful train. I saw myself as a Bride for the first time, and the vision matched what I knew i wanted all along but wasn’t finding. “
Kristin and her husband were married May 6th, 2019. They took their gorgeous outdoor wedding photos at the Mission San Luis Obsipo, which provided a stunning backdrop for their portraits! Their photographer was Sposto Photography, a team of photographers working out of the Los Angeles, California area. We love their vintage-inspired details from the wedding!

” I truly adore Yulina and Winefred, they were my dream team and they put so much effort into helping me find the last piece of my perfect dress, which was the jeweled topper that was eventually sewn into the top of my dress to add sleeves and a jeweled collar. I also love that they encouraged my to order the dress in white, since they had never seen it in that color before and I was the first to buy it. The champagne color was pretty on the sample, but the white took my breath away! I can’t thank these two ladies enough, I had the best time shopping with them and I would highly recommend them and Strut to anyone! “
