Megan’s Off The Shoulder Lace Wedding Dress

This is our beautiful bride Megan, who came to our Long Beach bridal store back in February of 2018. Corey and Megan joined together as one at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn in Cherry Valley, California on June 29^th, 2018, while she wore an off the shoulder lace wedding dress. The dynamic duo met when they were 20 years old and attending college together. Megan informed us that they are only 24 now, and when you know, you know! They really value the way they get to grow with each other through different stages of life. They are taking their time, enjoying their love, and living life to the absolute fullest together. Originally from Southern California, the couple now live together in Chico, Northern California.

When we asked Megan which moment she treasured the most from the day, she told us that they all went out to the beautiful lavender field during golden hour, the best time of the day. Everyone happily pranced around together in the fields, laughing, smiling, and taking pictures. “Looking back, my favorite pictures from the day were during that very moment.” We are so enamored by these sweet pictures.

Megan went into her bridal appointment bringing her mom, life-long best friend, & 3 week apart cousin, with no expectations. She ended up working with our super fun Senior Stylist Yulina, who rocked her world that day. She desired a wedding gown she felt absolutely beautiful in and hoped her gown would fit her venue perfectly. Her magical dress encompasses an all over lace sweetheart bodice with banging off the shoulder flutter sleeves. The gown features a two-toned look with cashmere lining and ivory lace. Megan also rocked a rose gold belt with beaded leaves and rhinestones, making the wedding dress her own. Her veil was champagne and gold, fingertip length, with metallic embroidery, beads, and even pearls! Lastly, her stunning flower crown that matched her girls completed the look entirely.

The ceremony was held nearby the barn, surrounded by lavender, enchanting greenery, and rustic farm décor. During the ceremony, Megan’s mom got bit by a black widow, and her arm instantly swelled and burned with pain. Being the fighter and trooper she is, she showed true motherly love by staying to watch her daughter get married. Everyone rallied together, getting her mother concealer for pictures, pain medication, and a first aid kit. Luckily, Megan’s friend attending the wedding happened to be a nurse and was able to treat the bite. Unfortunate situations always have a strange way of bringing people together, and turning it into something beautiful.

The dinner was held out in the barn area farm tables, surrounded by candles and tons of vibrant flowers and even more greenery. There was a farm dog that ran around and kept jumping through the lavender field throughout the evening. Overall, the experience was nothing short of beautiful. Megan told us how the things that went wrong, were really not that big of a deal. “It was a truly amazing experience. Strut made me feel so comfortable, and I had so much fun.” The newlyweds are going to take a year to relax and enjoy themselves, before celebrating on a honeymoon. What a great way to do it!
