We usually feature our gorgeous Strut Brides separately, but we just got in photos from several lovely ladies and decided to feature them together. They each have such different types of wedding gowns that they’re the perfect way to showcase 3 plus size wedding dresses with sleeves. From boleros to custom added sleeves, these brides have done it all!
Isabel was married 3/13/15 in Allure Bridals 8901 wedding dress. It is a strapless dropped waist ballgown with fully hand-beaded Swarovski crystal bodice. The beadwork is in a stunning floral pattern! Isabel added the tulle off the shoulder sleeves to match the full tulle skirt.
It gives her just a bit of coverage on her upper arms – beautiful!
Our next bride is also wearing a wedding dress by Allure Bridals. This one features an illusion neckline that is fully beaded with delicate cap sleeves. This stunning ballgown also features a low illusion back with sparkle. Here you can see it in better detail:
The tulle and lace ballgown is available in champagne, ivory or all white, and can be tried on in our Tempe, AZ bridal store (it has sold out of our Long Beach bridal boutique).
This next bride added a lace and tulle bolero to wear over her strapless bridal gown.
She purchased an informal chiffon wedding dress with sparkle detail across the bodice. For a bit of lightweight coverage on her arms, she added a pretty lace and tulle jacket, which would look beautiful with nearly any wedding dress style.
While many plus size wedding gowns are still strapless styles, you can see that it’s easy to custom add sleeves or coverage to nearly any bridal gown. Ask your Strut stylist to help you customize your gown to add sleeves, straps, a bolero jacket or any other type of coverage. We look forward to helping you look and feel beautiful on your wedding day!

Cassandra, unfortunately we’re not getting it back in the store. We are, however, able to borrow it through our Gown Transfer Program. You’re welcome to call the store for more details so you can try on your dream dress!
