Long Beach area wedding vendors have formed a wonderful group called the Bixby Knolls Wedding Collective. Together we host fun events, like the recent First Friday event at Salon Medusa on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. All photos were taken by Caught in the Moment Photography.
Salon Medusa did a beautiful job with the hair and makeup for our “bride”, who had a smokey eye with bold red lip and long, soft curls in her hair. This wedding day hair and makeup look paired perfectly with the vintage-inspired wedding dress from Strut! She wore a taffeta dropped waist ballgown. It had a strapless sweetheart neckline with ruched bodice and beading.
Together she and the groom enjoyed a champagne toast and checked out a limo. Other vendors included the bouquet from Stalks and Blooms, a new florist in Long Beach. We had wedding invitations and save the dates from Hungry Dog Printing. Snacks were provided by Elise’s Tea Room. Lucy’s Boudoir showed off their lingerie and foundations. We even had a bouquet toss!
Bixby Knoll’s First Friday celebrations are well known throughout the area. It’s a family friendly event where business stay open late, they often provide sales and incentives to shop, and there are often bands and local artists set up outside. Go here for more information about First Fridays.
