Makenzie and her mom drove about 90 minutes to our Long Beach, California bridal store, looking for the right western themed wedding dress for her upcoming wedding. She had booked her wedding dress shopping appointment for the second day of our 2021 wedding dress sample sale, knowing that select bridal gowns in our store would be marked down to great end-of-the-season prices.
But it wasn’t just any wedding gown she was looking for, though. Makenzie needed her dream wedding gown to go with the key accessory she had already chosen: her cowgirl boots! The wedding was to have a country western feel to it, so her bridal gown had to fit with that theme.
After just trying one wedding dress on (yes, it can happen that quickly), Makenzie found the one! She chose a V-neck spaghetti strapped, fitted wedding gown with lace detailing throughout. The fit of the wedding gown is called a sheath; unlike its mermaid or trumpet counterparts, a sheath wedding gown is a fitted silhouette but not too much so. There is still enough shape to the gown to show off curves, but there is also a little bit of flow to the skirt.
The shape paired with the Ivory/Sand shade Makenzie chose for her wedding gown worked perfectly for her wedding day and her overall vision. We LOVE the sexy illusion back, which shows just a peep of skin!
With her cowgirl boots on and sunflower bouquet in hand, Makenzie walked down the aisle and married her fiancé under the warm summer sun. The couple was wed on June 3rd, 2022 surrounded by their loved ones. The western feel was seen throughout the whole day, with the rustic, wooden touches all around the venue. The groom dawned a black cowboy hat and jeans, fitting perfectly with the theme. Even the Father of the Bride wore jeans and boots! It was all exactly what the bride was looking for.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Hamernik! Thank you for allowing Strut Bridal Salon to be part of your special day!
