Like many people, I have family and friends whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. So when I heard about Brides Against Breast Cancer(BABC), I had to see what Strut could do to help. BABC is a nation-wide traveling wedding dress sale. They sell new and gently worn wedding gowns. The proceeds from the sale fund final wishes of Stage IV breast cancer patients. You can read the testimonials on their website, but be forewarned: you will cry.
There are lots of ways you can help:
- Donate your gently worn wedding dress, slip and veil. Strut is the designated drop off location for Arizona, and we're accepting donations from August 21st-September 17th during normal business hours.
- Volunteer to help at the sale. You don't need to know dresses! You can check in shoppers or just run dresses back to the racks. Men are welcome, too!
- Shop the dress sale. Yep, we mean it. And if you find your dream dress, buy it. We won't be mad! More than half of the wedding dresses are new (couture! designer!), and they are significantly discounted.
- Tell your friends and family about this. We have fliers if you want to pass them out, or, we can send you one electronically that you can post on your Facebook page or email out. We'd love all the publicity help you can give us on this one!
Details:
BABC prefers contemporary dresses that are from 2003 and newer. They also accept new dresses (hint, hint bridal salons! this is a great way to get rid of samples!). You'll get a receipt for your tax deductible donation. And you'll get our eternal thanks.

As always, thanks for you support!
