We love, love LOVE sharing non-traditional weddings featuring our curvy brides, and Marcy’s comic and superhero themed wedding in Phoenix is no exception. We love all of the personal DIY touches she did – it really showed off their personality as a couple! Marcy shopped our Phoenix area bridal boutique in the fall of 2016. It was her first time trying on wedding dresses and she thought she maybe wanted a tea length wedding dress. But she was open to anything, she just wanted a romantic feel with some sparkle or shimmer. She created a custom wedding dress from our collection of separates to get exactly what she wanted!
Marcy paired a satin ruched bodice with sparkle straps and fully beaded illusion back with an organza ruffled ballgown skirt. She modified the bodice slightly lower and purchased both in ivory. Here’s a close up of the stunning back of her wedding gown:
Marcy’s veil, headpiece and added blingy belt are also all from Strut. We love the blue and orange accents and, of course, the dog in her wedding party! Awwwww!
