Autumn and Garrett Tait joined together as one on Sunday, March 10th, 2018, and recently celebrated their first anniversary. What an extraordinary day it was. We’re super excited to share Autumn’s rainy California vineyard wedding!
The cheerful couple’s venue, Aviation Vineyards, was the absolute perfect destination for their dream wedding. This venue is hidden in the beautiful hills of Fallbrook, California, surrounded by gorgeous scenery and striking greenery. The venue is described as in the middle of the desert, encompassed by towering mountains all around.
When we got the chance to hear about all the wonderful details and stories of Autumn’s wedding experience, we were absolutely delighted to hear how terrific the day panned out. As Autumn’s mother was her wedding coordinator, we knew she was going to make sure this was the best day of their lives. As they were nearing a week until the big day, the weather forecasted for rain the ENTIRE weekend. This was a huge shock to Autumn and Garrett, as both the ceremony and reception were supposed to be outdoors! It poured from 6 AM to the next morning.
Little did they know, the rain absolutely worked in their favor. The adventurous couple, who are both big fans of rain, decided to embrace the coming weather. They moved their ceremony inside the venue and set up a clear tent outdoors to celebrate at the reception, accommodating about 100 guests. They rented a vineyard house located near the venue in Fallbrook for all family, friends, and those in the bridal party, to stay.
The ceremony was held inside Aviation Vineyards, in an incredible mansion-like room. The incredible roof combined with the ambient and open vibes of the room, the history of the airplane inside, and the beautiful community of people all there to support this union created a truly enchanting experience. If that wasn’t merry enough, the outdoor tent created such a fun environment to celebrate and dance the night away.
The rain showered over the beautiful clear tent, allowing for a mystical view of Fallbrook and all its charm. Autumn found beautiful eucalyptus from a tree on the highway nearby and created a flag to incorporate as decorations. We just adore when our brides put their heart and creativity towards their big day.
Her wedding gown was marvelous, a strapless aline featuring a natural waistline, English net fabric. The bodice has rouching that gives the wedding dress a special flare. Autumn handpicked and had her seamstress incorporate these stunning floral colorful appliques onto her bodice. We are thrilled with the way the gown turned out, as Autumn added her own unique touch to a very special wedding dress. Her bridal gown features light gold lining with ivory English netting, providing for an awesome two-tone look.
The bridal party embraced the rain and used it to their advantage for their pictures as well. What a fun and unique idea to include umbrellas in the photos! We found out that Autumn and Garrett even saved a mason jar filled with the rain on their wedding day, to keep as a special memory forever.

The stylist that I worked with instantly understood me, my humor, and my vision, listened, was patient and calm, she was perfect.
