When you look at Anais and Alex wedding photos, it’s clear to see how incredibly in love these two are. Read on for details of their pandemic love story and Anais’s aline wedding dress with custom sleeves!
The pandemic set back their wedding in multiple ways. The large wedding the two had originally wanted and planned for ended up being a small reception of fifty people in their backyard. Though disappointed, Anais and Alex made the most out of it! The hard work and love these two poured into their wedding truly shines through in their photos and we are so excited to share with you their beautiful DIY wedding, and all the intimate details about how it all came together.
Anais shopped our Long Beach, California location with her mom, sister, and mother-in-law. She was assisted by our amazing Long Beach manager, Tamiko! Together they were able to curate the dress of her dreams! Anais’s wedding dress was originally a tank style vneck wedding dress without sleeves. Custom flutter sleeves were added during the alterations process.
When we asked Anais about her wedding gown shopping experience, she wrote, “Strut was my first time trying on wedding dresses and I honestly did not expect to find a dress that day. I was accompanied by my mom, sister, and mother-in-law. I knew I wanted lace and something that showed my figure without being form fitting. Tamiko was amazing and found the dress! It was better than I dreamt it could be and in budget. When she put the veil on me, I looked in the mirror and saw my mom’s face and knew it was the one.”
Special details she wrote to us included, “My mother had my veil custom made in México and it had crystal beads that went well with the slight sparkle on my dress.“ How special is that?! We love it.
We love to hear all about the most memorable moments of the day and the even the goofy, unscripted ones! Anais added, “The funniest part of our wedding was the garter toss. I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time he tried to get it off.”
Anais also wrote, “This wasn’t very funny at the time, but we laugh now; our DJ was having trouble with his sound system so we couldn’t dance to our song. My amazing wedding photographer saved the day and asked the trio to play a song for us to dance to. Our first dance wasn’t to the song we had picked but it now holds a special place in our hearts. “ Anais was married March 20th, 2021.
We can’t help but smile alongside these two as we look at your photos. Anais and Alex are the perfect example of how love truly does conquer all. Thank you for sharing your special day with us.
