Strut bride, Marissa, came in to the salon with her wedding just five months away, but stylist Maritza was ready for the challenge and only pulled wedding gowns that could be ordered in time. Marissa had never tried on wedding gowns before, but she had a vision of a “more traditional white dress with long sleeves and lace.” Little did she know that she would fall in love with something completely different. A blush gown with “pearls within the beading on the top” caught Marissa’s eye and once she tried it on, she said she “felt so confident” and just fell in love with a sparkly vneck ballgown wedding dress!
“The staff at Strut Bridal made me realize that I could look amazing and show a little bit more of my body than I originally planned. They truly know what they are doing with getting the right fit and leading clients in the right direction. I have to give credit to Maritza. She was extremely helpful, made me feel special, and listened to what I was saying.” Marissa was married July 5th, 2019.
Marissa said yes to a gorgeous ballgown in a pink/champagne color with tulle skirt, fully beaded bodice, equally embellished and supportive straps, leading to the wow-factor of the gown: the glittering, deep v-back, giving that “over the shoulder” photo even more allure. The bride topped her look off with a beautiful, dainty, fingertip-length veil that sparkled with sporadic crystals along the silver edge. She wrote, “I could not have had a better dress shopping experience!”
Our bride and her groom got married in front of about thirty guests at the magnificently stunning Wayfarer’s Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. “We felt with this chapel that we did not need to decide between indoors and outdoors, it was the best of both worlds” with it’s wooden beams, floral décor, and glass walls seemingly bringing the outdoors inside.
Marissa had a bunch of moments from her wedding day that she will cherish forever, but she shared one with us that stood out as particularly romantic. “Riding from the church to the reception venue, just husband and wife, was special to me. My husband is my best friend and I am his, so I was eager to discuss the wedding with him. It was one of the best days of my life and who better to share my thoughts of the ceremony with than my best friend?”
Their intimate wedding was followed by a reception at R/10 Social House in Redondo Beach. “We spend a lot of time in that area and love their décor and food, so we knew we would be happy celebrating there with our family and friends.” Not to forget, the funniest part of the day happened there, when Marissa’s son ended up hiding in her gown. We get it, little one, weddings can be emotionally stressful. Haha. She added, “When I was walking down the aisle, I had the biggest smile on my face seeing everyone there that we love, and best of all, seeing the groom. I could hear my dad sniffle trying to hold back his tears. I absolutely lost it and began to cry from hearing my dad get emotional.”
Marissa added, “I would choose Strut Bridal over and over again. I would not change a thing about my experience.” The Strut Bridal team would like to congratulate Marissa and Dustin on not only finding a best friend to spend the rest of your life with, but on a beautiful wedding day! We are so honored to have contributed to your big day, and could not be happier that we helped you, Marissa, find your “perfect dress.”
