So many magazines give you pointers for making a great wedding toast. But when you're trying to be funny, you may wonder just what topics are off limits. The latest Arizona Weddings Magazinehas a great little list of toasting don'ts, for your reading pleasure (and for a couple of laughs):
- Don't mention ex-boyfriends or girlfriends
- Don't use profanity
- Don't make jokes about the honeymoon or tell bawdy or tasteless jokes
- Don't talk about your own marriage
- Don't mention the cost of the wedding
- Don't talk about the gifts
- Don't embarrass the couple
- Don't reference politics, religion, race or other touchy issues
- Don't discuss the couples' future plans
Perfect! Now go out there and knock 'em dead! And let us know if you have any other "don'ts" to add to the list!

Don’t mention said bride or groom’s previous marriage. (this goes for the officiant as well) – yup, it happened, I was there. The two officiants, and three of the four toasts all mentioned it in one single wedding. Awkward to say the least.

OMG. That’s awful. We’ll add that to the list!
