Karyn and Anthony got married in the midst of Covid but were thankfully able to celebrate with close friends and family in the those most intimate and beautiful setting, her parent’s backyard, wearing a custom long sleeve sparkly aline wedding dress.
Karyn says, “Walking in to (my parents) backyard was so magical seeing all of our close friends and family waiting to celebrate with us.” Karyn added, “Seeing all of my dreams about flowers and decorations was so memorable and something I will never forget. “
Karyn’s grandmother passed away and it was important to her and her mom to honor her through the theme of the wedding, creating a magical whimsical wedding of her dreams. Karyn said, ” My grandma’s favorite color was purple so that was my main color, a deep eggplant.” Karyn not only carried this color throughout her wedding but it was also reflected within her bridal party’s attire and floral centerpieces at each guest table. What an unforgettable moment!
When Karyn was asked about the funniest part of her wedding day, Karyn said, “When my father-in-law gave his speech at the reception.” Karyn added, “He and my husband have such a strong relationship so he was my husband’s best man.” Karyn says her father-in-law’s speech was the perfect way to end the toast, “sweet, kind, and memorable.”

Some may say it’s a cliché, but sometimes a mother knows best. Karyn said she returned to Strut bridal shop in Chandler, Arizona, a second time for her reveal appointment to show all of her aunts and cousins and they all loved the dress. Karyn says, ” I fell in love also!”
When Karyn was asked about her Strut Bridal experience, Karyn said, “The whole process of finding the dress along with alterations and picking the dress up was so easy and everyone that we worked with was so amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. ” Karyn added, “Being plus-sized, it was hard for me to find dresses and knowing that I was able to find one that was big on me and no small, made me feel so beautiful and comfortable.”
Karyn added, ” Strut makes it easy to see not only what you will look like in the dress, but make you feel comfortable and beautiful at the same time.” Her large, brightly colored wedding bouquet was one of our favorite of the year!
