Introducing the fantastic Jasmine Coker. Jasmine came to Strut Bridal Salon in Long Beach, CA back in July of 2018 to find her dream dress. She brought with her a great group of supportive ladies, and two of them had worked in bridal before and had heaps of knowledge. Jasmine desired a wedding gown that would accentuate all her assets. She worked with our wonderful Senior Stylist Yulina, who understood her vision perfectly. She wanted a sexy beaded fitted wedding gown and just fell in love.
Her sexy beaded fitted wedding gown features a stunning all over beaded look with a beautiful illusion neckline that carries into an all illusion back. The wedding gown is a sheath style; as you can see it is fitted and perfectly flows to the floor. The hem lace creates a dreamy effect with the way it lines the gown with horsehair. Her unique plus size bridal gown has super fun cap sleeves as well that provided her an awesome amount of coverage. She looked truly grand; her remarkable venue was no match for how beautiful she looked on her wedding day. Our wonderful seamstress Lara, who owns Folklore Studio in Downtown LA, did her alterations on her wedding gown. When we talked to Jasmine about how she felt in her wedding gown on her big day, she relayed, “My big day was absolutely amazing! My dress was a hit. I am still in awe of my dress!” AWH!
After Jasmine got ready at the Hollywood Hotel, they made their way to The Louvre Banquet Hall in Los Angeles, a killer wedding venue. The newly renovated facility offers a high standard of quality, atmosphere of warmth, luxury and elegance. They decorated the interior with modern and romantic décor. It was perfect for their big day. Everything was all indoor, and the venue takes care of all the catering. They had about 125 guests, and Jasmine informed us that it was just the perfect amount of intimacy. It was a great turn out, and they were very pleased with it. The day of their wedding turned out to be a rainy and gloomy day, so the couple was very thankful to be indoors and have everything be in one place.
The couple decided to celebrate their big day on their five-year anniversary, Thursday, January 31st, 2019. Jasmine got to marry the man of her dreams, who she met on a cruise ship back in 2014. The day they met was January 31st, and they have been inseparable ever since. The venue catered a wonderful Mediterranean style dinner, with delicious orders & entrees passed graciously throughout the event. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the hummus and meat dishes were the hit of the night! We found out that both Jasmine and Marlon, together, have been vegan for over a year now. In light of this, the couple decided that their wedding cake would be all vegan. Marlon and Jasmine discreetly and romantically cut their cake alone together. It was a truly incredible moment for them, as this resembles their journey thus for, and the magical adventures to come. During the reception, music was blasting, everyone was dancing and laughing, and the couple went around to each and every table to give and receive endless love. Jasmine informed us how much love she felt from her friends and family on this day, but especially during the reception. The way everyone looked at them just emanated that feeling.
The day after the wedding, the couple adventured off on their honeymoon. They traveled to Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver! It was snowing in Seattle, which they loved. Us Californians don’t get to see much of that. The newlyweds had a marvelous time celebrating their love together. Her sister ended up getting Jasmine’s wedding gown preserved, encasing her gown with all her accessories. The entire experience was beyond Jasmine’s wildest dreams, and we are over the moon for them! Congratulations to this couple for creating such a fabulous party to celebrate such a strong bond. We are so happy that Jasmine will forever be a Strut bride.
