We are so excited to feature our beautiful bride, Jeanette, and her husband, Salvador! Their October wedding at The Rose Gardens in Whittier, CA, was a wonderful celebration full of love, culture, and vibrant colors. Jeanette’s long sleeve plus size wedding dress was absolutely stunning and made heads turn as she walked down the aisle during their Mexican-inspired wedding!

Jeanette looked like a dream in her ballgown-style wedding dress, which featured a voluminous skirt, intricate lace details on the bodice, and romantic long sleeves. The delicate illusion neckline and sleeves added a touch of elegance, while the sparkling appliqué made her shimmer. But what truly set her long sleeve wedding gown apart was the fact that it had pockets! She completed her look with a crystal tiara, soft curls, and a radiant smile that lit up the entire day. Her plus size wedding gown perfectly captured the luxurious and romantic vibe of her wedding!

From planning details to the most special memories, Jeanette opened up about what made her day so unforgettable. Their Mexican-inspired wedding beautifully tied into their heritage, incorporating bright colors and cultural elements like Mexican desserts and detailed backdrops. Salvador even crafted their personalized backdrop featuring their names and wedding date, a unique touch that wowed their guests.
When asked about her favorite part of the day, Jeanette shared, “My favorite moment for me was definitely our vows. My husband said some wonderful words that made everyone cry, and just looking into his eyes as I was exchanging mine was a moment of pure happiness and joy that filled my heart.”
The couple chose The Rose Gardens for their venue and were drawn by its subtle charm. “What drew us to the venue was the fact that it was understated on the outside but inside, it was very elegant and beyond beautiful,” Jeanette said. Of course, no wedding is complete without funny moments, and Jeanette remembered how her bouquet toss took an unexpected turn: “I accidentally threw my flower bouquet in the chandelier!”

Jeanette’s bridal shopping journey at Strut Bridal Salon was nothing short of amazing. She brought her mom, cousin, and two close friends for support and ended up saying yes to the first wedding dress she tried on! “One funny thing about how the dress was picked out is that my cousin, who was my maid of honor, picked out the dress. She was like, ‘Look, this is beautiful and so are you.’ Plus, the dress had pockets—who can argue with that?” Jeanette looked so gorgeous in her long sleeve lace bodice and satin skirt wedding gown, and we couldn’t be happier to have been part of her special moment. It was perfect for her Mexican-inspired wedding!
For future brides, Jeanette offered this heartfelt piece of advice: “Don’t stress about the little details because, at the end of the day, it is your wedding. You and your significant other are the only ones who matter.” Jeanette, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding journey. From all of us at Strut Bridal Salon, we wish you and Salvador a lifetime of happiness!
